On his journey, he has taken in the very smart Michael’s Nook hotel in Grasmere, Cumbria, the Michelin starred Gravetye Manor in East Grinstead, and Ian McAndrew’s Michelin starred restaurant ‘74’ as Sous Chef.

Phil then went to the West Country and The Castle Hotel in Taunton as head chef where he won a Michelin star, 4 Rosettes in the ‘AA guide’, the ‘Good Food Guide’ Restaurant of the year, ‘The Times’ Restaurant of the Year, ‘Egon Ronay’s Guide’ Dessert Chef of the Year and ‘British Meat Chef of The Year’, among many other awards.

Between his TV work and writing – Phil’s written 18 books, including his most recent, ‘Save Money Good Diet’ – a Sunday Times Best Seller. He also finds time to farm and spends many hours working on the land and with his livestock. His Gluten-Free books sell worldwide and have won many awards, and he is the National Food Ambassador for Coeliac UK.

GLYNN PURNELL

Often called the ‘Yummy Brummie’, Glynn Purnell started cooking professionally at the age of 14. After securing a work experience placement in a hotel kitchen, he spent the next two years catching the No 966 bus to the Metropole Hotel at the NEC where he was quickly promoted to making salads and flipping burgers.

A six-year stint followed, gaining experience in every department from banqueting to the A La Carte Terrace Restaurant, where he discovered his talent and passion for fine dining. It wasn’t long before he began winning awards including the prestigious Salon Culinaire.

His next professional step was as Chef de Partie at Simpson’s Restaurant where he progressed to the position of Sous Chef. The restaurant was awarded a Michelin star and Glynn went on to win many accolades within the industry.

After training with top chefs including Gordon Ramsay, Gary Rhodes and Claude Bosi, Glynn travelled abroad to work with well-known Michelin starred chefs in Europe. He went on to help launch Jessica’s in July 2003, which was awarded Birmingham’s first Michelin star back in 2005.

Glynn is now the proud owner of two establishments in Birmingham, Purnell’s Restaurant on Cornwall Street, which opened in July 2007 and was awarded a Michelin star in 2009, and Purnell’s Bistro & Ginger’s Bar on Newhall Street, which opened in September 2012.

Glynn has become a household name after taking part in the Great British Menu, winning twice and then later appearing as a mentor. He has previously featured on The Great British Food Revival and The Secret Chef, among other television programmes. He can regularly be seen on Saturday Kitchen as a guest chef and host. He presented the latest series of My Kitchen Rules UK alongside Rachel Allen.

MOLLY ROBBINS

Molly Robbins has starred on hit Netflix show Extreme Cake Makers and runs her own business ‘Molly Makes Cakes’, creating cake masterpieces. The baker is known for her ultra-realistic cakes and she has won ‘Cake Masters’ People’s Choice’ award and several gold and silver awards at Cake International, which is ‘the world’s biggest cake decorating competition’.

During her time on the baking show, Molly, who specialises in wildlife designs, made a life-sized baby elephant cake and a huge chameleon cake. The series followed Molly and her company, Creative Cakes, and a group of elite bakers who try to create jaw-dropping treats.

Molly’s cakes are available to buy in her shop on Bank Street in Rawtenstall, Lancashire and also online. Molly recently made a showcase bespoke cake for Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies 40th birthday party.

LAIM HALL

A former Military chef, Liam Hall served as a lance corporal military chef in the Royal Logistics Corps (RLC) and was medically discharged in 2012. He toured to Iraq, Canada, Belgium, Germany and Ireland.

After leaving the Army, Liam found work as a civilian chef but the pandemic forced him into unemployment where he started making chocolate treats at home and posting them on social media. Liam then set up a business called ‘Military Chef’ and worked as a chocolatier, selling his chocolate at local markets and Armed Forces museums including the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.

He opened his first chocolate shop, Military Chef, earlier this year which is located in Sutton Coldfield town centre. It hosts chocolate workshops and all flavours and variety of chocolate is available to buy in-store.

DARREN MEACHAM

Darren is the Head Chef at The Bracebridge Bar and Grill in Sutton Coldfield park.

Darren honed his craft working around some of the most exciting kitchens in the UK, most notably peels at Hampton Manor where he worked between 2011-2017 and was part of their award winning team. More recently Darren returned to Peels 2021 as head chef and helped them retain their Michelin star.

DAMIEN CAUDWELL

Damian has a real passion and understanding for all things food related. His varied experience and palate has seen him owning and running three award winning restaurants – covering tapas, a deli, tearoom, and a gastro pub.

Damian is a very experienced compere´ and has enjoyed working with the Hairy Bikers and Morton Halls’ Galton Blackinstone among many others. Familiar with the spotlight himself, as well as being alongside it, Damian has enjoyed various television and radio appearances, both locally and nationally. He’s also been a keen host of cookery classes and demonstrations, so he will truly elevate the onstage experience for all involved.
